Since 2005, he has worked as a journalist, writer and food critic, directing and producing programmes, articles and reports focused on gastronomy and food and wine tourism for the Lancelot Medios Communication Group.

Bárbara Martínez is one of the freshest and most approachable voices in wine communication on social media. With a growing community and an authentic style, she shares real stories about wineries, vineyards and the people behind each label. In this talk, Bárbara shows how social media can be a powerful tool for connecting with new audiences, raising awareness of unique projects and cultivating a loyal community around wine, regardless of the size of the winery.
10:30-11:00| Tim Atkin MW, Master of Wine, Journalist & Event Organizer
Tim Atkin MW is an award-winning wine critic, journalist, and the creator of TOP 100 The Best of Canary Wines. In preparation for his first-ever report on the region, he conducted tastings in Tenerife, Lanzarote, and Gran Canaria, evaluating 531 wines from all seven Canary Islands.
At the event, Tim will share his insights into the region’s extraordinary diversity, heritage, and potential, and will also hand out the awards to the winners of the Canary Islands Wine Awards 2025 — the first recognition of its kind across all seven islands.
